Hello,
I am John Kent, the Principal at Leonard High School. I hope that your summer is going well. As you are well aware, August 25th, the first day of school is rapidly approaching. I am looking forward to getting the 2008-09 school year started, and I wanted to give you some information that may make the transition from summer vacation to the beginning of school smoother.
        · Most of our students have an idea of what classes they will be in, but if you are a new student or a 9th grade student we want you to not worry about things. We will get you situated quickly and efficiently and you will be on your way.
        · Students who drive to school will receive a parking permit and be assigned a parking place at some time during the first week of school.
        · There are always papers to sign at the beginning of school and that parents need to sign so please expect that and turn the papers in asap.
        · Parents, be aware of the immunization status of your child, and update the immunizations asap.
        · At LHS we do not have lockers. Please get a backpack and make sure it is transparent or mesh.
        · On the first day students will receive a hand book, with many of the school guidelines in it. It will also have a sheet that will allow or disallow student         information to be released to third parties. Please be sure to read that information.
        · The handbook will have the dress code in it. Please read this.
